CAN I JOIN?

The medical clinic is not currently accepting new patients.

What services are not covered by OHIP?

The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) pays for most of your medical visits to our office.

There are, however, uninsured services, which OHIP does NOT COVER, such as:

  • prescription refills by phone

  • medical forms for insurance

  • legal or employment purposes

  • photocopying, faxing and transferring medical records

  • Work forms

  • Disability tax credits

****Please ask our front desk for a comprehensive list

Can I go to walk ins?

As part of the South Simcoe Medical Associates FHO you have access to several after-hours clinics for urgent care (Beeton Medical Clinic, Vennix Integrated Health in Tottenham, Carmen Vanderwater Medical Centre in Alliston and Dr. Glen Seward in Angus).

If you go to a different walk-in clinic, that clinic DOES not necessarily  FORWARD YOUR RECORDS to the South Simcoe Medical Associates. As such, your primary physician cannot be responsible for the medical issues addressed at the walk-in clinic.

Note that if you are seen at a clinic belonging to the South Simcoe Medical Associates FHO, your records will be shared with your primary physician allowing for comprehensive and continuous care you deserve. Call our clinic for the after hours schedule.

Same day appointments?

SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, and some SATURDAYs. Enquire with our administrators about appointment availability.

A limited number of these appointments are available on a first-come basis with your own doctor for appointments that are urgent and cannot wait for a regular booked appointment.

Examples of this include:

  • urinary tract infections

  • strep throat

  • respiratory tract infections

  • New medical issues

**A physical cannot be booked as a same day appointment.

Zero Tolerance Abuse policy

Beeton Medical Clinic and all Beeton Medical Clinic physicians are committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all patients and staff.

GENUINE RISK OF HARM

There is absolutely zero tolerance for any conduct that causes any individual to feel at genuine risk of harm. In all such situations, the offending individual will be asked to immediately leave the premises and if a patient, they will be immediately discharged from the practice with no option of returning in the future.

In circumstances where there is physical contact without consent (e.g. grabbing, spitting, pushing), a police report will generally be filed to ensure appropriate records are maintained.

ALL OTHER UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT

Generally speaking, our zero-tolerance policy extends to all other conduct which can be considered unacceptable in nature. We strive to treat individuals with respect and professionalism in all interactions, and we expect and require the same in return. This includes conduct whether in person, by phone, in writing, or by voicemail.

Exemplary conduct which is unacceptable includes:

  • violence

  • Intimidation

  • yelling

  • throwing or damaging property

  • inappropriate words

  • abusive language

  • disrespectful or demeaning language or conduct

  • discriminatory remarks

  • threats or threatening behaviour

  • bullying

In limited extenuating circumstances, we may exercise our discretion to excuse a single lapse in judgment. If you have been referred to this policy in such circumstances, please consider yourself warned that your recent conduct was considered inappropriate and unacceptable. No further warnings will be given - any further abusive conduct on your part will be grounds for immediate discharge from Beeton Medical as a patient.
